Chasing Freedom is just beginning its journey into the world, and I’m so grateful for everyone who has picked up a copy, shared a supportive word, or entered the world of Matildaville with me. Your support means more than I can say.

I didn’t write this novel to make money. I wrote it to share a story and a bit of history that I discovered and couldn’t keep to myself. There is such joy in bringing parts of the past to light and sharing them with anyone who wants to dive in.

Here on my website, I will continue to share bits of history that didn’t make it into the book, and I will provide updates on my next projects: a children’s picture book featuring Hero the dog — a companion to Chasing Freedom and Chasing Wealth, a historical fiction novel set along the C&O canal and in Baltimore during the Gilded Age. I’ve already started shaping the characters and delving into the history.

If you’ve finished the book and feel comfortable leaving a review, it truly helps new stories find readers, especially as I work to improve my next novel. But most of all, thank you for being here at the beginning. It’s a joy to share this journey with you.
